Alexander Beglov

Alexander Dmitriyevich Beglov ( _ru. Александр Дмитриевич Беглов, b. May 191956, in Baku, Soviet Union) is a Russian politician and businessman.

In 1999–2002, Beglov served as the Head of the Kurortny District of Saint Petersburg.

In 2002–2003, he was a First Vice-Governor of Saint Petersburg, Head of the Chancellery of the Saint Petersburg City Administration. In June–October 2003, after the resignment of Vladimir Yakovlev, he was acting Governor of Saint Petersburg. Simultaneously, in 2003–2004 he was the secretary of the United Russia political party in Saint Petersburg. Since May 272004, he has been the Chief of the Control Directorate of the Russian presidential administration and an aide to President Vladimir Putin.
