Dr. Jennifer Roback Morse,
Ph.D is the President and Founder of the Ruth Institute a non-profit organization for the promotion of marriage. The Institute's mission is to "make marriage cool," by re-introducing to the culture the idea of life-long married love. Dr. Morse speaks on college campuses and at other venues around the country on issues concerning marriage.Born into a Catholic working-class family, she earned a doctorate in economics and taught economics for 15 years at
Yale University andGeorge Mason University . In 1991, she and her husband adopted a two-year-oldRomania n boy; she later gave birth to a girl. She left her full-time university teaching post in 1996 to move with her family to California.She is also a part-time Research Fellow at the
