Hopwas

Hopwas is a village between the city of Lichfield and the town of Tamworth in Staffordshire, England on the A51 route. It is situated on the north bank of the River Tame and astride the Coventry Canal. Hopwas Hayes was owned for many years by the Levett family of Wychnor Park. The novelist Guy N. Smith was born in Hopwas.

Two pubs serving Hopwas is The Red Lion and Tame Otter.

Just north of Hopwas is Hopwas Hayes a large area of ancient woodland. A large part of the woodland is currently owned by Tarmac and there is the possibility that this area may be destroyed and used as a sand pit.
