Atka Island (Atx̂ax̂ [Bergsland, K "Aleut Dictionary" Fairbanks: Alaska Native Language Center, 1994] in Aleut) is the largest island in the Andreanof Islands of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. The island is convert|50|mi east of Adak Island. It is convert|65|mi long and convert|2|-|20|mi wide with a land area of convert|404.6|sqmi, making it the 22nd largest island in the United States. The northeast of Atka Island contains the Korovin volcano which reaches a peak of convert|5030|ft|m|0. Oglodak Island is located convert|3.4|mi|nmi km off Cape Kigun, Atka's westernmost point.

The city of Atka, Alaska is on the east side of the island. A United States Air Force base, established during World War II is also on Atka Island. The 2000 census population of the island was 95 persons, almost all in the city of Atka. Atka is served by the Aleutian Region Schools.
