Berlin Alexanderplatz is a
railway stationin Berlincity centre and is one of the city's most important interchange points for local public transport. Four regional train lines and the S-Bahn lines rail text color|system=SBB|line=S5, rail text color|system=SBB|line=S7, rail text color|system=SBB|line=S75 and rail text color|system=SBB|line=S9 call at the overground station, and the underground station is one of the largest on the Berlin U-Bahnnetwork, with the lines rail text color|system=BVG|line=U2, rail text color|system=BVG|line=U5 and rail text color|system=BVG|line=U8 calling. The station is also served by four tramlines, two of which run continuously, as well as five buslines during the day, one of which runs continuously and three night buslines.
The station is named for the square on which it is located, close to the
Berlin Fernsehturmand the World Time Clock.
