The Screech Owls

The Screech Owls is a series of juvenile fiction novels by Roy MacGregor. There are currently 21 titles in the series.

The series is about the hockey team "The Screech Owls," from the fictional town of Tamarack, in Ontario, Canada. They travel all over the world, playing in pee-wee hockey tournaments. Throughout the series the Owls become caught in all sorts of criminal activity and mystery. They uncover terrorist plots, encounter ghosts, and become involved in murder investigations. Some of the main characters are Travis Lindsay and Wayne "Nish" Nishikawa.

Television show

"Screech Owls" aired on YTV from September 1, 2000 to February 1, 2002. It was nominated for Best Children's or Youth Series or Program at the 16th Gemini Awards in 2001.
