EIA Standards

EIA Standards

Here is a list of Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) Standards:
* EIA-232 RS-232 electrical characteristics single-ended voltage digital interface circuit
* EIA/ECA-310 Cabinets, racks (including 19-inch racks), panels and associated equipment standard
* EIA-343 Formerly RS-343. Signal standard for non-broadcast high resolution monochrome video.
* EIA-343A Formerly RS-343 A. Video signal standard for high resolution monochrome CCTV. Based on EIA-343.
* TIA-422 RS-422 electrical characteristics of the balanced voltage digital interface circuit
* EIA-485 RS-485 multi-point electrical characteristics of the balanced voltage digital interface circuit
* EIA-535 defines capacitor dielectric classes: class 1, class 2
* TIA-568-B cable wiring standard for twisted pair cabling
* TIA-574 D-subminiature 9 pin connector
* EIA-608 standard for closed captioning for NTSC TV broadcasts in the United States and Canada
* EIA-708 is the standard for closed captioning for ATSC digital television streams in the United States and Canada.
* TIA-968-A unkeyed RJ45 connector to ethernet

Note: the above list of standards is not only incomplete, but also out of date. For example, the standard on capacitor dielectric classes is as of Nov 2002:
* EIA-198-1-F Ceramic Dielectric Capacitors: Classes I, II, III, and IV

All standards are available, for more information see [http://www.eia.org/new_policy/availability.phtml EIA's web site]
