William Herbert Hudnut III (born October 17, 1932) was a four-term Republican mayor of Indianapolis from 1976 to 1992. He also represented the Indianapolis area in Congress from 1973 to 1975. Hudnut is also an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church had been the senior pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.

Coincidentally, the man whose negotiation with then-Colts owner Robert Irsay brought the Indianapolis Colts to Indianapolis from Baltimore now lives about 30 miles from the Baltimore area. After his tenure as Indianapolis mayor, Hudnut also served as the mayor of Chevy Chase, Maryland.
