Boca Raton Resort & Club

The Boca Raton Resort & Club, which opened February 6, 1926 [http://books.google.com/books?id=mLGHDhnhLksC&pg=PA24&lpg=PA24&dq=%22ritz+carlton+cloister+inn%22&source=web&ots=yVfY4wT45F&sig=OI2LQvZiH1Eh2du7FjoX9bDO2ho#PPP1,M1] , is a luxury golf resort with a private nightclub in Boca Raton, Florida. Originally known as the Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn, it was designed by architect Addison Mizner. Owners have included the Schine [http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,807860-2,00.html] family, owners of L.A.'s Ambassador Hotel, and the late Arthur Vining Davis, an aluminum tycoon and property developer, and VMS Realty, Inc (Van Kampen, Morris, Stone).

In 1969, the Boca Raton Resort & Club Tower was completed, which stands 300 ft (91m) tall and has 28 floors.
