Originally known as the Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn, it was designed byarchitect Addison Mizner . Owners have included the Schine [http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,807860-2,00.html] family, owners of L.A.'sAmbassador Hotel , and the lateArthur Vining Davis , analuminum tycoon and property developer, and VMS Realty, Inc (Van Kampen, Morris, Stone).In 1969, the Boca Raton Resort & Club Tower was completed, which stands 300 ft (91m) tall and has 28 floors.
