Shar (tribe)

Shar is the name of a tribal group of Baloch people living in the provinces of Sindh and Balochistan in Pakistan. The Shar tribe belong to a place named "SHORI" in Balochistan and migrated to Sindh during the reign of the Talpurs.Shar is said to be of the Jatoi Baloch sub-tribe. Shar Baloch's are known to be the fearsome and brave tribe of the Baloch's. Shar Baloch are mostly settled in Khairpur. One huge settlement for example is in District of Tharee Mirwah which contains villages Mubarak Shar & Mengho Fakir Shar which are dominated by Shar Balochs. Sanghar and Shikarpur is also densely populated by Shar tribe.

Allah-Dito Shafi:Tele-Communication engineer for OPTCL Hyderabad. Hyderabad.

"'Amir Bux Shar: Retired Officer HBL, Working as Project coordinator Irland funded Project of bonded labour in Pakistan. Resident of Sindhri District Mirpurkhas"' , DCO Allah-Dito:District Commissioner Officer of Khairpur Mir's.

Officer Abdul-Latif Shar:Customs Officer on Zero-Point (India-Pakistan Border).

Doctor Bhai Khan Shar:Director, Centre of Excellence in Arts & Design, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET). Jamshoro.

Engineer Niaz Shar Baloch:Chief Resident Engineer (CRE) of Osmani & Consultants, and Project Director in Mehran Univ. of Engg. & Techn.(MUET),Jamshoro.He was Chief Engineer in King Abdul-Aziz Military City (KAMC) Tabuk for 18 years.Currently Residing in Hyderabad.He is renowned Civil Engineer, and is enlisted in WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD,USA, and Dictionary of Intrnational Biograghy,Cambridge, UK.

(WAFA) Nawaz Ali Shar:Judge in the High Court of Tando Allahyar. Also a poet.

DPO Gul-Muhammed Shar:DPO of Nowshero Feroze.

Fakir Sikander Shar:Chairman of Town Committee of City Tharee Mirwah. Influential figure in the Shars of Mengho Fakir Shar area.

Mohsin Shar:Principal of Mengho Fakir High School. Now retired. Most educated man in Mengho Fakir Shar.

Engineer Abdul-Latif Shar (Tharee Mirwah):Officer in Agriculture board.

Zafar Ali Shar:Commissioner and Advocate (retd.). Influential figure in Sindh, especially interior area.
