Winnipeg South is a Canadian federal electoral district in Manitoba, Canada, that has been represented in the Canadian House of Commons from 1917 to 1979, and since 1988. It covers the south of the city of Winnipeg. The seat has been held by Rod Bruinooge since the 2006 election.

History

The electoral district was created in 1914 from Winnipeg riding.

In 1976, it was abolished when it was redistributed into Provencher, Winnipeg—Assiniboine and Winnipeg—Fort Garry ridings.

In 1987, it was re-created from Winnipeg—Assiniboine and Winnipeg—Fort Garry ridings.
