It is the only high school in the Martins Ferry City Schools district. Their nickname is the Purple Riders. They are members of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.

Martins Ferry High School enrolls high school students from grades 9-12. It is located in Martins Ferry, OH, which is a medium sized city with a predominantly White community and a median household income of $23,960. This school is part of the Martins Ferry City School District, which has a total student enrollment of 999.
