The John G. Clark Award for Distinguished Scholarship in Cultic Studies, is an award created by the American Family Foundation, (now the International Cultic Studies Association, in honor of noted Harvard psychiatrist, John Gordon Clark, M.D.

Steve K. Dubrow Eichel (PhD University of Pennsylvania) is a counseling psychologist in private practice. He is a co-founder of RETIRN, a group practice that specializes in working with individuals and famillies harmed by "high demand groups," including destructive cults. His doctoral research earned him the John G. Clark Award for Distinguished Scholarship in Cultic Studies in 1990. He is also Supervising Psychologist at the St. Francis Homes for Boys (Bensalem, PA) and Adjunct Professor in the Counseling Psychology program at Chestnut Hill College (Philadelphia, PA). Dr. Dubrow-Eichel is a Diplomate in Counseling Psychology of the American Psychological Association and an American Association of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH)-Approved Consultant in Clinical Hypnosis. He has written and presented on a broad range of topics, including trauma, addiction, hypnosis, brief and integrative psychotherapy, and the psychology of cultic groups.

Clark Award for Distinguished Scholarship in Cultic Studies for her research comparing ritually abused and sexually abused children in day care.
