Bayrami, Bayramiye, Bayramiyya, Bayramiyye, and Bayramilik refer toa Turkish
Sufiorder ( tariqah) founded by Hajji Bayram Hacı Bayramı Veliin Ankaraaround the year 1400. The order spread to the then Ottoman capital Istanbulwhere there were several tekkesand into the Balkans(especially Rumelia, Bosnia, Macedonia and Greece). The order also spread into Egyptwhere a tekkewas found in the capital, Cairo.
Although the order today is almost nonexistent, its influence can be seen in Aziz Mahmud Hudayi founder of the
Jelvetiorder and the prolific writer and Muslimsaint Ismail Hakki Bursevi.
