27th Army (People's Republic of China)

The 27th Army was a military formation of the People's Volunteer Army (Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) or Chinese Communist Forces (CCF)) during the Korean War.

The 27th Army consisted of the 79th, 80th, 81st and 90th Divisions, though the 90th Division was attached to the 27th Army from its parent unit, the 30th Army. It was part of the troops sent to crush the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989.

Current

The 27th Army is currently part of the Nanjing Military Region and is stationed in Hangzhou.
