Manolo Cabeza de Huevo

A despiction of Manolo. The prank calls were eventually animated in Adobe Flash and uploaded to various sites such as Youtube.

"Manolo Cabeza de Huevo" (Spanish for "Manolo the Egghead", although interpreted as "Manolo the Testicle Head"^[1]) is a series of famous spanish prank calls made by the New York radio show El Vacilón de la Mañana (Spanish for The Morning Party).

The original set consisted in three prank calls; in these, the presenter of the show (which itself is known for making prank calls of this nature), called a person named Manuel (original for Manolo), a superintendent of a New York City building. After calling Manuel, "Manolo Cabeza de Huevo", Manolo would react angrily and insult the caller. The prank calls were presented in the show and uploaded to the Internet.

The popularity of the prank calls was so high that El Vacilón eventually did more set of prank calls, which were again presented and uploaded. The prank calls sets were topics of discussion in many Internet blogs and forums;^[2][3][4] some users even elaborated Adobe Flash animations to despict Manolo's reaction to the calls. The sets have since became an Internet phenomenon, and have received a small cult following.

Original set

The original set consisted in three prank calls (although they may have been edited, and presented this way):

• In the first one, the radio presenter of "El Vacilón" (pretending to be an tenant of a department of the building), called Manolo and informs him of a broken pipe. After Manolo agreed to check the pipe the next day, the caller thanked him calling him "Manolo Cabeza de Huevo". Manolo reacted angrily to this nickname, but the caller justified himself saying that everybody in the building called him that, and that he actually believed that it was Manolo's real last name. After the caller started shouting "Cabeza de Huevo!" several times, Manolo insulted him and finished the call.
• The second one continued where the first one left off; the caller insisted that everybody called Manolo "Cabeza de Huevo". After calling him that repeatedly, Manolo threatened of cutting the caller's head in half if he continued calling him like that. The caller said that Manolo's head itself was cut in half, like a penis, so Manolo hung up again.
• In the third and final call, the radio presenter insisted that Monolo should fix his pipe, but Manolo was so angry that he continuously insulted the caller. After revealing that is was a prank call for the show, Manolo insulted a final time and hung up the phone.

Second set

Since the first prank calls ended up being very famous, "El Vacilón" called Manolo again to do a second set of prank calls. Since Manolo is easily excitable and gets very angry with the prank calls, "El Vacilón" thought it would be funny to call him again.

The first call of this "second set" is about Milly, a woman from an apartment, calling Manolo to fix her toilet. She says that she spoke with Manolo a week ago, meaning that this call was planned more than a week before.

While she is speaking with Manolo, her supposed husband accuses her of having an affair with someone. In their mixed English and Spanish argument she explains she is speaking to the 'super' about the toilet and tells him to go talk to him. The "husband" grabs the phone, saying "Who the fuck is this?!" Manolo tells him not to speak to him in English to which he replies "Quien carajo es?" (basically, "who the hell/fuck is this" in Spanish". The husband continues insulting Manolo in Spanish and accusing him of hitting on the women in the apartment. Manolo returns the insults and hangs up.

Milly calls again to apologize and then Manolo continues screaming and hangs up.

The husband calls and apologizes. Manolo, knowing it's a prank, calls him names and hangs up.

The husband calls again and says he called to apologize and that Manolo is acting like an animal. After being more insults the caller calls him "Cabeza de Huevo" again. Manolo erupts calling him "coño" repeatedly (this is used as the intro for other calls) and saying that he shits on his mother and on him among other insults. The caller says the call is from the Vacilón and tells him to calm down, but Manolo continues ranting and then hangs up.

Different from the first set, which contains three prank calls in it, this second set contains five prank calls, these being:

• Milly calling Manolo to fix her toilet, and her husband appearing and insulting Manolo. Manolo hangs up after many insults are said to him.
• Milly calling Manolo again to apologize for the conduct of her husband, but Manolo hangs up after Milly says that Manolo shouldn't be reacting in such an aggressive way.
• Milly's supposed husband ("Hector") calling Manolo, telling him that he's sorry. Manolo doesn't accept his apologies and hangs up.
• Hector calling Manolo again to say that Manolo's an animal, since he doesn't accept his apologies. Manolo hangs up after Hector says to Manolo Egghead.
• Hector calling Manolo again to say that it were all prank calls from El Vacilón.

Like the first set, this second set was presented in the World Wide Web for free download. However, people like the first one the most.

The second set's title is undefined. If one looks up on the World Wide Web, it would say that it is called "Tu No Tiene(s) Madre" ("You don't have a mother!"), since it is what Manolo says at one point of the call. However, the prank call is about "Milly" calling Manolo to fix her toilet, so some people refer to the prank call as the one about "The problem with the toilet".

Third set

With two great and famous parts to Manolo, "El Vacilon" called him again, now in the mood of making a very different joke.

This third set is probably, the most famous of all. The man from "El Vacilon" (apparently the one who made the voice for "Hector" in the second set) calls Manolo to say that he is Manolo's anus.

At the beginning, Manolo apparently doesn't understand. But then the man says, "I'm your anus, I am your ass", causing Manolo making insults against the caller's mother.

At first, the man speaks to Manolo with his normal voice. In the rest of the calls, except the fourth one, he makes a "small" voice, that is, a high-pitched voice.

The part was presented with, at the beginning, a reggeaton song about Manolo which lasts 19 seconds. The voices were taken from "Hector" of the second part, and the expressions of anger of Manolo in the second part, also.

The third call is the most popular in the series.^{[citation needed]}

Fourth set

The fourth set of calls starts with an English speaking caller asking for Manuel. Since Manolo has difficulties speaking in English he asks the caller to speak slowly. The caller then identifies himself as a building inspector, and, speaking in both English and Spanish (or Spanglish), says that they have to inspect the building because the windows are broken. Manolo realizes something is fishy with this call and quickly tries to dismiss the caller. The caller calls Manolo a "cranky old man", which Manolo does not understand. The caller then says "I'll say it in Spanish: ¡Cabeza e'huevo!". Manolo realizes it's the people from Caiste calling and insults them saying he will not fall for it again.

The callers try again, but this time his son Israelito answers the phone. After telling him it's the people from Caiste, they collude with Israelito so that Manolo is put on the phone. The caller then tells Manolo he is looking for work, saying that he is too old to be working and calling him a "viejo cabrón". Manolo is infuriated and responds back with a torrent of insults (one of which goes: "¡Debiera salir un rampano en el ano del culo, coñazo!" ["A wart should appear on the middle of your ass, you cunt!"]) after which the caller calls him Cabeza de Huevo once again. Manolo is called once again and a Mexican Ranchera song is played with lyrics about Manolo Cabeza de Huevo. Manolo responds after the song is done: "Te sabes 'la pepa de tu madre'?" ("You know the song called "the cunt of your mother?"), which they construe as a song request. He ends the call by saying "¡Cantamela, cabrón!" ("Sing it for me, motherfucker!"), and hangs up.

At the end, the DJs call Manolo saying it has all been a prank call from Caiste and asking him for his permission to put it on the air. Manolo responds by telling them to do whatever the hell they want and insults them even more so that they have more material to work with.

Fifth set

The fifth set of prank calls to Manolo, while not as popular, ended up being very funny.^{[citation needed]} The original "plan" for the prank call was to make Manolo think that the caller is his son, Israel saying that he has been thrown in jail. However, Manolo notices that the caller is not his son, and demands to know who is it. The caller, the man from El Vacilón, answers "The one who ate your little ass", with a high-pitched voice. This phrase, with that voice tone, is a reference to the third part of prank calls.

The fifth set was named "Mission Number 34", although it is actually the fifth part of prank calls made to Manolo, and not the thirty-fourth. When the joke was presented in the radio show, it contained a small "presentation", because, before the prank call is presented, it is heard: "El Vacilón De La Mañana: Manolo Egghead: Mission Number 34: Call, and make him think that the caller is his son, Israelito."

In a series of calls a grocer explains that Israel has an unpaid balance. In another call, a woman from the laundromat says that he has left an article of clothing at the laundromat. The lady says it has his name on the shirt and when asked what name is on it, she replies "Manolo Cabeza de Huevo".

Also, when the last call on this fifth set is finished, it was heard "El Vacilón De La Mañana" by the same voice that made the "presentation". Even though it was presented in the segment Caíste (You Fell For It), Manolo never fell for it, because in the prank calls made for this 'fifth set', he always noticed that that was something funny with the caller and they were trying just to make him mad.

When the prank call was published online, it contained the "presentation" and the end commentary, like when it was shown in the radio show.

The fifth set apparently is the last of the calls they made to Manolo. No more prank calls can be found on the internet, but this is difficult to verify, since the prank calls are sometimes hard to find and download.
