Panorama High School is a secondary school located on Van Nuys Boulevard in Los Angeles, California, United States. Panorama, which opened with grades 9, 10, and 11th, is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school serves the Panorama City section of Los Angeles in the San Fernando Valley. Panorama High School's mascot is a python, and the school colors are gold and black.

History

Panorama opened in fall 2006 with grades 9th, 10th, and 11th, [ [http://www.laschools.org/project-status/one-project?project_number=55A67308 East Valley Area New HS #3, 55A67308] ] and then in 2007 with 12th grade, relieving Van Nuys High School, John H. Francis Polytechnic High School, and Monroe High School. The opening allowed for Van Nuys High School to return to a traditional calendar. Prior to its opening, the school was known as East Valley Area New High School #3.

Athletics

The school has its own softball, baseball, football, basketball, soccer, and track teams. The school has two gymnasiums, including one practice gym and one main gym, a heated swimming pool, and a fitness room.
