Moriyoshi, Akita

Moriyoshi (森吉町; -machi) was a town located in Kitaakita District, Akita, Japan.

The city of Kitaakita was founded on March 22, 2005 from the merger of the former towns of Aikawa, Ani, Moriyoshi, and Takanosu, all from Kitaakita District.

In 2003, the town had an estimated population of 7,471 and a density of 21.85 persons per km². The total area was 341.88 km².
