Distance

The Three Castles Walk covers 19 miles (30km) on a circular route.

The Route

The route links Skenfrith Castle, Grosmont Castle [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/98301] and White Castle (Wales) [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/168047] . It follows woods and hills [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/55248] and takes the walker over Graig Syfyrddin [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/217236] (Edmunds Tump) from where there are views of the Welsh Marches [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/212324] , the mountains of South Wales [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/211498] , including the Black Mountains, Wales [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/133963] and the Forest of Dean and beyond.

The Three Castles Walk links with both the Offa's Dyke Path [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/55250] (at White Castle) and the Monnow Valley Walk [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/139702] (at Skenfrith and Grosmont) [http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/213726] .
