Solario Stakes

The Solario Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom open to two-year-old thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 7 furlongs and 16 yards (1,423 metres) at Sandown Park Racecourse, and it takes place annually in late August or early September.

First run in 1947, the race is named in honour of Solario, the winner of the Ascot Gold Cup in 1926. It was upgraded to Group 3 status in 1986, having been previously classed as a Listed race.
