Ivan Ukhov (born
4 April 1986 inChelyabinsk ) is a Russian high jumper.A former discus thrower, Ukhov took up high jumping in 2004, and improved from 2.10 to 2.30 in 2005. In 2006, Ukhov achieved a personal-best jump at 2.33 metres, in
Langen . His 2.39 indoors jump atMoscow , on 28 January 2007 (national record), ranks him tied for sixth place amongst the top indoor high jumpers all-time.In September 2008, Ukhov ceased to be invited to Grand Prix
IAAF meetings, because of actions performed in a competition inLausanne held in that month. There, he was found to have drunkRed Bull withvodka prior to the competition, not making one single valid jump.
