"Fong Sai-yuk" (zh-cp |c=方世玉 |p=Fāng Shìyù; Yale Cantonese: Fong1 Sai3 Yuk6) is a 1993 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Corey Yuen and starring Jet Li. It was released in North America under the alternate title "The Legend".

The film is based on the life of Fong Sai-yuk, a young kung-fu master who spends his days playing around with his friends instead of learning.

Plot

Fong Sai-yuk comes to learn that his father is the head of the Red Flower Society, an anti-Qing rebel group. The rest of this film follows Fong Sai-yuk as he matures into the legendary Chinese warrior he comes to be.

Box office

"Fong Sai-yuk" was a box office hit on Hong Kong, grossing HK $30,666,842. As a result, a sequel, "Fong Sai-yuk II", was commissioned immediately and released the very same year.
