Lawrence Turman (born 28 November 1926, Los Angeles, CA) is a producer who presently serves as the director of The Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California. He was nominated for an Academy Award for The Graduate (1967). He has also produced such films such as Pretty Poison (film) (1968), The Great White Hope (1970), The Thing (film) (1982), Short Circuit (film) (1986), The River Wild (1994), and American History X (1998). Turman is a member of the Producers Guild Hall of Fame, and is on the board of the Producers Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

In 2005, Turman published a book entitled, "So You Want to be a Producer" with Three Rivers Press.
