Hapoel Galil Elyon (2007)

Steve Deontay Logan (born March 20 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American professional basketball player. He played with the University of Cincinnati Bearcats. He became a standout point guard in his collegiate career, and was named a first team All-American his senior year along with future NBA players Jay Williams, Juan Dixon, Drew Gooden, and Dan Dickau.

He attended St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio where he won a state championship. In his senior year of high school he won Gatorade player of the year. He attended the University of Cincinnati becoming one of the best players in the country in his junior and senior year. He is the school's second all-time scorer behind Oscar Robertson.

Despite strong performances in his senior year, Logan slipped to the second round of the 2002 NBA draft mainly due to concern about his height (5'10"). As a result of being a second-rounder, the Warriors refused to offer him a guaranteed contract. After a bitter contract dispute with the Golden State Warriors, Logan did not sign a contract. His draft rights were later traded to the Dallas Mavericks. In 2006 he played in Poland, and the next year in Israel.
