Black Missionaries

Black Missionaries are a popular reggae band from the African country of Malawi. They are based around the city of Blantyre, and reside in Chileka. The band had originally five members namely Evison Matafale, Musamude Fumulani, Anjilu Fumulani, Chizondi Fumulani and Peter Amidu. Currently only three of the aforementioned are living, after the leader and founder Evison Matafale was killed whilst in police custody in 2001, on November 7, and the death of his successor Musamude on 17th September 2007. He died of TB.They have five albums, Kuimba I - VI. They perform in concerts across the country, often singing about love and rastafari issues. Their music can be downloaded from www.malawianmp3.com, the website that is promoting Malawian music to the rest of the world.
