Peter Leithart

Peter Leithart

Peter J. Leithart (born 1959) is the author of many books on literature and theology, a frequent contributor to such ecumenical and Trinitarian publications as "First Things", "Touchstone", and "Credenda/Agenda", as well as theological journals such as "Westminster Theological Journal". Ordained in the Presbyterian Church in America, he is also a pastor of Trinity Reformed Church, a congregation of the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches. Leithart is the author of many books (see below), as well as being a contributor to "Bound Only Once" and "Federal Vision". His writing is highly respected by Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, and Protestants alike,Fact|date=February 2007 and he is an advocate of Federal Vision theology. [http://www.federal-vision.com]

Leithart holds an A.B. in English and History from Hillsdale College (1981), an M.A.R. (1986) and Th.M. (1987) from Westminster Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in theology from Cambridge University, and he is on the faculty at New Saint Andrews College in Moscow, Idaho.
