Ajikata, Niigata

Ajikata (味方村; -mura) was a village located in Nishikanbara District, Niigata, Japan.

As of 2005, the village had an estimated population of 4,506 and a density of 312.05 persons per km². The total area was 14.44 km².

In March 2005, Ajikata merged with Niigata City and ceased to exist. As of April 2007, the area is part of the Minami-ku ward.
