E.C. Victory

E.C. Victory

E.C. Victory is the official fight song at East Carolina University. At the beginning of football games, the National Anthem and Alma Mater is played. Right after the Alma Mater is finished, the Marching Band and crowd starts to sing the E.C. Victory song. The song is also played after touchdowns or big plays in football. At the end of football games, the football team walks to the student section to sing the Alma Mater and E.C. Victory song in unison. There are two versions to this song.

Lyrics

Version 1:

Cheer for East Car'lina,

Cheer for old E.C.,

We know we're the finest,

Onward to victory!

GO PIRATES!!!

Cheer for East Car'lina,

Cheer on for old E.C.,

Loyal and Bold,

we're the purple and gold,

WE ARE THE PIRATES OF E.C.U.!"

Version 2:

We're from East Carolina,

The Purple and the Gold;

The Pirates of the country,

No others quite as bold.

GO PIRATES!!!

Stand up for our Pirates,

As we go to Victory.

So let's give 'em a hand!

Come on folks, let's stand,

And show 'em we're from E-C!
