Vita, Manitoba

Vita is a small community in South Eastern Manitoba. It is roughly 50 km from Steinbach, Manitoba. The town lies on Highway 201. Vita was also heavily damaged by a tornado in the early 1950s. The roof of the hospital was completely torn off.

Vita is served by Shevchenko School. Shevchenko is part of the Border Land School Division. It educates Kindergarten through Grade 12.

Vita is known for its large Canada Day celebration on July 1st of each year. The event generally includes a softball tournament, rodeo, beer gardens, and live entertainment. The night is capped off by a fireworks display. Vita is very small it only has 200 people.
