Progress Party of Equatorial Guinea

Progress Party of Equatorial Guinea

The Progress Party of Equatorial Guinea ( _es. Partido del Progreso de Guinea Ecuatorial) is a pro-market, pro-democracy political party in Equatorial Guinea. It was founded shortly after the legalization of political parties in the early 1990s after a long period of highly authoritarian military rule.

The party leadership has declared a "government-in-exile" in Spain, with party leader Severo Moto Nsá, as "President." PP members who remain in Equatorial Guinea are heavily harassed and prosecuted.
