Appikatla

Appikatla is a village in Guntur district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is famous for its 'Shiva' temple. It is on the main rail road between Vijayawada and Chennai. Its population mostly depend upon farming, but the community is well educated. It has one high school ,two primary schools and also one residential school.And it has one big Library,Governament Hospital and this village has statues like "Father of the Nation" Mahatma Gandhi,Jawaharlal Nehru, Buddha, Acharya NG Ranga,Subhash Chandra Bose, and the statue of The Legendary Artist NTR in the heart of the village.The main political party is 'Telugudesam'. Famous Telugu Poet, called as "Tenugu Lenka", Tummala Sitarama Murthy and old telugu film songs lyricist Kosaraju Raghavaiah are from Appikatla.It is having Lord Venkateswara temple and TTD kalyanamantapam.
