Woodgrange Park railway station

Woodgrange Park railway station

Woodgrange Park is a station in Manor Park, east London, England. The station is on the Gospel Oak to Barking line 3 km (1¾ miles) west of Barking. The station is in both zones 3 and 4. It was opened 9 July 1894.

It is a station with limited facilities as the station ticket office was demolished in the late 90s and made into a small cycle rack. Staff operate from a container sized portable office. There have recently been added a number of self-service touch screen ticket machines which take coins, credit cards and notes. Oyster card scanners have also been installed.

Unusually for the Gospel Oak to Barking Line, the section through the station is electrified as the line is used by a limited number of c2c services (which do not stop at Woodgrange Park) and regular freight trains.
London Bus routes 25 and 86 routes serve the bus stop just outside the station.

Manor Park is a short walk from this station. However, the National Rail Timetable suggests interchanging one stop west, from Wanstead Park to Forest Gate [ [http://www.networkrail.co.uk/browse%20documents/eNRT/Dec07/Commercial%20Information.pdf National Rail Timetable] Page 46] .

Services

There is a half-hourly service daily westbound to Gospel Oak and eastbound to Barking with a 20 minute frequency each direction in peak hours.
