Canara High School is an educational institution in Mangalore which was founded by Ammembal Subba Rao Pai, the philanthropist who founded Canara Bank. It is located in Dongerkeri area.Canara High School has classes for 6th standard to 10th standard including both kannada medium and English medium sections. Some of the well known teachers at this school are/were Ashok Pandit, Umesh Mallya among others.The current president of the canara high school association is Dr.U S Mohandas Nayak,an eminent doctor.The secretary is Mr.M Annappa Pai,the manager Mr.M P Pai and the Treasurer Mr.K Balakrishna Shenoy.The joint secretary is Mr. Maroor Sudhir Pai.A new computer lab has been recently opened up in the school.
