"Guitarist" is a monthly magazine published by Future Publishing. It features reviews of newly released equipment, interviews with guitar players, articles on playing technique, and tablature. The magazine covers both electric and acoustic guitar playing, and often reviews electric basses. Musically, it predominantly covers classic rock, blues, and folk, but occasionally features alternative rock and even heavy metal. "Guitarist" was launched in 1984, making it the longest-running guitar magazine in Europe.
