Joseph Kamwendo (born 23 October 1986 in Blantyre) is a Malawian football midfielder for Orlando Pirates in the South African Premier Soccer League.

Kamwendo was signed by Danish club FC Nordsjælland from Zimbabwe's CAPS United in 2006. In Zimbabwe he was given the Soccer Star of the Year award in 2005 as the first foreign player. He joined Orlando Pirates of South Africa for the 2007/2008 season. On his debut, Joseph Kamwendo went on to score for Orlando Pirates against Tottenham Hotspurs of England in a Vodacom Challenge match that Orlando Pirates lost 1-2.

He made his debut for Malawi at the age of 17.
