1966 "The Agony and the Ecstacy"
1966 "The Hill"

Major Harry Fleetwood Andrews, CBE (born 10 November, 1911 - 6 March, 1989), was an English actor and singer who appeared as Bramante in the 1965 American film "The Agony and the Ecstasy" and as R.S.M. Bert Wilson in the 1965 British film "The Hill".

Andrews was born in Tonbridge, Kent, and educated at Wrekin College, Shropshire. He had a stage career as a Shakespearean actor, interrupted by the Second World War in which he served in the Royal Artillery, reaching the rank of Acting Major.

Tall, lantern jawed and with an authoritative demeanor, he became one of England's most prolific character actors in films of the 1950s and 1960s, often playing army officers, sergeant majors and other authority figures. His portrayals ranged from the lighthearted Stubb in the 1956 John Houston adaptation of Moby Dick to the sadistic sergeant major who torments Sean Connery in The Hill.

His long term partner was Basil Hoskins.citation |title=Basil Hoskins |date=November 2, 2005 |periodical=The Telegraph |url=http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2005/02/11/db1103.xml |accessdate=2007-12-18 ]

He died in 1989 in Salehurst, Sussex, aged 77.
