Rufus Hound is a British comedian and television presenter. He has been described by TV's Stephen Fry as "The rich man's Simon Pegg".Fact|date=February 2008 Educationally, he went to Frensham Heights and Godalming College, where he ran the college radio stationFact|date=February 2008 and grew a beard and pubic hair.

Hound hosted Destination Three, the coverage of "The Glastonbury Festival" and "Top of the Pops" in 2005 and 2006 alongside Fearne Cotton. He presented the idiosyncratic reality show "Grime Scene Investigation" on BBC Three, and narrated BBC Two's broadcasts of "MythBusters".

As a live comedian he seems to MC, most notably at The Komedia in Brighton where he lives.

He has also worked for Merrill Lynch as an MC at corporate presentations.

In April 2007, he got married at The Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada to Beth Johnson, who he'd met at The Reading Festival the year before.Fact|date=February 2008The pair have also had a child.

He was very annoyed when the BBC announced they were axing "Top of the Pops" in 2006 as he really enjoyed his time as a presenter of the long running series.Fact|date=February 2008

In early 2008, Hound appeared twice on "Thank God You're Here" in the UK. On the first occasion he appeared alongside Richard Wilson, Lee Mack and Claudia Winkleman, winning the show. On the second he appeared alongside Steve Furst, John Thomson and Marcus Brigstocke. In fact he started his 'Thank God You're Here' performance by being the warm up guy. At the very first taping of the show he did some fantastic warm-up comedy before the main show started and throughout the show. On 26 March 2008, Rufus featured on the 1st Episode of the New Series of The Apprentice, You're Fired! Rufus has also appeared on The Richard and Judy Show.

In late summer 2008 he recorded a TV series called "Argumental" with Marcus Brigstocke, John Sergeant and various comedy guests, to be initially broadcast on Dave in Autumn 2008.
