Glenreagh is a small town in Clarence Valley Council on the North Coast of New South Wales, Australia. It had a population of 280 in 2001, including 10 indigenous people (3.6%) and 22 foreign born people (7.9%).[ Census 2001 AUS|id=UCL133200|name=Glenreagh (L) (Urban Centre/Locality)|accessdate=2007-06-30|quick=on] ]It is on the North Coast railway line, completed to Glenreagh in 1915. A picturesque branch was opened from Glenreagh to Dorrigo in 1924, but was difficult to maintain due to the steep terrain and high rainfall and it was closed in 1972 after a washaway. The Glenreagh to Ulong section is proposed for reopening as a heritage tourist railway by the Glenreagh Mountain Railway.
