Careers education

Careers education

Careers education classes are where pupils learn what subjects they need to take for the job they want in the future, then have to decide three subjects to take in Key Stage 4. At the end of the two years you have spent learning the courses, you have to take tests, which are known as GCSEs. These help you get a job if you have done well, but if you haven't done too well you can retake them, or sometimes the job may offer a training course, which will cover all aspects of your job in a professional way.

The main things you learn in careers education classes are
*learning to be professional in job interviews

*to know what subjects (eg. history, geography, another language) you need for a certain job

*to be confident in your job - know what to do, how to handle in an emergency act.
