Daniels Holderby Cortése, stage name Daria Cortése (born 16 February, 1982 in Trenton, New Jersey) is an American full lyric soprano.Cortése holds BM and MM degrees from Westminster Choir College, where she was for four years a member of the Westminster Choir under Joseph Flummerfelt. While at Westminster she was elected to Alpha Lambda Delta (the national first-year academic honors society), Omicron Delta Kappa (the national leadership honorary) and Pi Kappa Lambda (the national musician's honor fraternity). Additionally, she is an accomplished harpist.

Ms. Córtese specializes in both the Baroque coloratura repertoire of Handel and Vivaldi and opera roles such as Mimi in Giacomo Puccini's "La bohème", the Countess in Mozart's "Le Nozze di Figaro", and the title character in Dvořák's "Rusalka." Córtese is also a champion of Russian art song, often programming works by Rachmaninoff, Borodin, and Tchaikovsky on her recitals. Cortése is a frequent soloist at the Newtown Handel Festival in Newtown, Pennsylvania, where she has been heard in Handel's "Dixit Dominus" and "Messiah", Haydn's "Creation", Mozart's "Requiem", and Haydn's "Lord Nelson Mass".

During the 2006-07 season, Cortése was seen as Wellgunde (Götterdämmerung) and Tituba (The Crucible) in scenes programs at Westminster Choir College. She was also heard as the soprano soloist in Haydn's "Lord Nelson Mass" with the Westminster Symphonic Choir. In July 2007 she was heard as Lady Billows in Benjamin Britten's "Albert Herring" at the Intermezzo Opera Festival, where she also covered the role of Alice Ford in Giuseppe Verdi's "Falstaff".

Cortése also maintains an active teaching career. She currently holds faculty positions at the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey and the Trenton Community Music School in Trenton, New Jersey. She has previously held teaching and conducting positions at the Academy of Music on Main Street in Spotswood, New Jersey and at St. Luke's Church in the County of Bucks in Newtown, Pennsylvania.
