The Ocean Township School District is a community public school district that serves students from Ocean Township, in Ocean County, New Jersey, United States which serves 536 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade (as of the 2008-09 school year).

As of the 2008-09 school year, the district's two schools had an enrollment of 536 students and 55.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.7.[1]

The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "CD", the sixth highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.[3]

For grades 7 through 12, public school students attend the Southern Regional Middle School (grades 7 and 8) and Southern Regional High School (grades 9 - 12). These schools are part of the Southern Regional School District, which serves the five municipalities in the Long Beach Island Consolidated School DistrictBarnegat Light, Harvey Cedars, Long Beach Township, Ship Bottom and Surf City — along with students from Beach Haven and Stafford Township, together with the sending district of Ocean Township.[4] Both schools are in Manahawkin.
