Lorenzo Borghese (born June 9, 1973), commonly known as Prince Lorenzo Borghese, is a member of an Italian noble family, a cosmetics entrepreneur, and is featured on the 9th season of ABC’s "The Bachelor" American television show.

Biography

Borghese was born in Milan into the noble House of Borghese, the son of Francesco Marco Luigi Costanzo Borghese (born 1938), and his American wife, Amanda Leigh. His mother's stepfather was Douglas Leigh, the sign and lighting designer. Lorenzo Borghese's paternal grandmother was Marcella Borghese, who founded the "Borghese" cosmetics line in 1958; it was a subsidiary of Revlon.

He lived in Rome and outside Paris. When he was five years old he moved to New Canaan, Connecticut but was raised for most of his life in the township of Millburn, New Jersey in the Short Hills section of Millburn Township. As of 1982, he has resided in Leesburg, Georgia, but has also lived in North Carolina and South Carolina. He has lived in Manhattan since 1997.

Borghese attended Millburn High School in New Jersey and the Pomfret School in Connecticut. He graduated from Rollins College in Florida in 1995. It was there that he was initiated into the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He later received his MBA from Fordham University in New York.

He is a managing partner with his father in GT Partners. He is founder and president of Royal Treatment Pet Spa and executive vice president of Multimedia Exposures, Inc., an advertising agency for cosmetic products.

Lorenzo Borghese was the 9th bachelor on ABC’s "The Bachelor". Borghese was supposed to choose a potential wife from a total of 25 American women, but later in the first show two Italian women were brought in. The set for this season included the Villa Borghese and other famous sites in and around Rome, Italy.

After months of dating, The Bachelor: Rome star Prince Lorenzo Borghese ends his love affair with Sadie Murray, the 23-year old publicist he rejected on The Bachelor: Rome.

Previously, Borghese broke up with Jennifer Wilson, the 24-year old eight-grade teacher who captured Borghese’s heart on the reality dating show The Bachelor: Rome. He justifies his decision to choose Wilson on the show was a “spur of the moment” thing. He explains, "I decided about two hours before the final Rose Ceremony and it was obviously a very difficult decision because I had strong feelings for both Jen and Sadie…I was trying to find faults with both of them and it was almost impossible but I knew I had to make a decision and it was just that I felt a little closer to Jen and that's why I went with what I was feeling at the time.”

As for Murray, she takes the breakup as something positive and looks in the future with much optimism. She told The New York Post, "I'm a single girl in New York City…There's nothing better, right... I'm being sarcastic.”

Her move to New York, apart from dating Borghese, is to pursue a job at Behrman P.R. But as it turns out, she is ready to leave the company and is now seeking a job at a different agency. And although the city has provided her with much heartache, she remains upbeat towards it. She adds, "I love New York. I'm trying to get acclimated to the city."
