Winestead is a village in the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, in an area known as Holderness. It is situated approximately 7 miles south east of the town of Hedon and 1½ mile north west of the village of Patrington. It lies to the north of the A1033 road.It forms part of the civil parish of Patrington.

Andrew Marvell the metaphysical poet was born in the village.
