Duncan Cameron (record producer)

Duncan Cameron is a musician and producer. He is most noted as a member of the band Sweet and as a producer of numerous acts

Musical career

Duncan Cameron played with Sweet in the late 70's Before returning to his first love of Producing.

Production career

Duncan is widely experienced, working in many different musical genre's. His production /engineering / mixing credits include: Willy DeVille ("Sportin' Life"), BMX Bandits, Teenage Fanclub, The Supernaturals, The Jesus and Mary Chain, UK Subs, Ac acoustics, N.T., II Tone Committee, Belles in Monica, Superstar, Speeder, Astrid, Geneva, The Gyres, Eugenius, Big Country, Trashcan Sinatras, The Delgados, The Starlets, Remedy, James Kirk, Carol Laula, AudioAlysis, Arab Strap, Del Amitri and Travis.

Remix clients include Ian Brown (Stone Roses) and with remix partner Krash Slaughta - LL Cool J, Pete Rock, Silvabullet and Sullen.

US clients include Kim Fowley, Dan Penn, Alex Chilton, Jerry Lee Lewis, Matthew Sweet, Ben Vaughn, John Herald and Michael Shelley.

Traditional clients include J.S.D Band, Macumba, The Celts, Emily Smith Band, Scott MacDonald, Gibb Todd, Kate Rusby, John McCusker, John Sheehan, Joannie Madden, Elsbeth Cowie and Fraser Speirs.

Classical clients include London Session Orchestra, Morely String Quartet and members of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.

Duncan is also a keen educationalist - setting up, equipping rooms and teaching National Certificate Courses at Coatbridge College, guest lectures in MIDI / Information Technology at Queen's College, Edinburgh, and recently teaching HNC Audio Technology courses at Riverside for Reid Kerr Creative Arts Department.

He also heads up our community project team, recently co-ordinating and managing the Optimus Youth Project for Riverside in partnership with East Renfrewshire Arts.
