Above All

Above All

Above All is a British heavy metal band. They released their debut album Domain in 1996 on the Roadrunner Records label which was produced by Alex Newport (Fudge Tunnel, Nailbomb). Their lyrics were highly politically motivated and protested against right wing politics and advocated Straight Edge .

TV appearances

They made their debut TV appearance on MTV's Headbangers Ball, where they played the song "Prison". The program included an interview of the band where they were asked if they viewed themselves as a British hardcore band, to which they replied that they did not consider.

Line Up

After the release of "Domain" Bassist Hallam Foster left the group to be replaced by Daniel P Carter who had previously worked with the band on illustrations for the album. Subsequently a second guitar was added as the bands sound progressed and the role was filled initally by Robert Coleman of the band Understand and then later by Daniel Stewart who had previously played in Beacon with Carter.
