Greenergy is a company formed in 1992 for the purpose of supplying fuels with a lower environmental impact. The company has over 10% of the UK road fuels market and specialises in biofuels.

It is 25% owned by Tesco who are also a major customer. All their blends have included 5% bioethanol since 2005 [ [http://www.greenergy.co.uk/Products/bioethanol_E95.html Greenergy Statement] ] , a renewable but also high-octane component (octane quoted as 135) which provides lower emissions of greenhouse gas and carbon dioxide. Greenergy also supplies high percentage biodiesel blends for fleet use and supplies Tesco 99 Octane as the control fuel to the British Rally Championship
