May 30 Movement

The May 30 Movement (zh-cp|五卅运动|p=wǔsà yùndòng May 30, 1925) was a labor and anti-imperalist movement during early History of the Republic of China. It began when the Shanghai Municipal Police opened fire on Chinese strikers in Shanghai's International Settlement. The shootings sparked nation-wide anti-foreign demonstrations.
