Paul Shanklin

Paul Shanklin (born 1962) is an American conservative political satirist, impressionist, and comedian. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Paul writes most of, and voices the characters for, the songs/satirical comedy bits used by conservative radio hosts Rush Limbaugh and Mike Fleming.

Shanklin has released a total of 10 albums containing both parody songs and political skits utilizing his skill with voice impressions.

Shanklin became popular when he was featured on the Rush Limbaugh program beginning in 1993. Shanklin first came to media attention after doing his vocal impersonation of Bill Clinton for Memphis radio show host "The Big Kahuna", Bill Young. Shanklin was originally brought to Limbaugh's attention by announcer Johnny Donovan. Shanklin contacted Donovan doing a Bill Clinton impression, and Donovan relayed the call to Limbaugh.

Prior to his debut on the Rush Limbaugh show, Shanklin was the owner of a ServiceMaster franchise. He is also a Certified Financial Planner, having worked in asset management as well as retirement and investment planning.

Shanklin is a prolific conservative speaker, having spoken to the FedEx Corporation, Sofamor-Danek Corporation, Senate Republican Caucus of Tennessee, and the Conservative Political Action Conference [http://www.trainingforum.com/speakers/pshanklin.html] .

Shanklin has performed over 1300 parody songs and skits incorporating over 80 voice impressions.
