Hayakawa Award

Hayakawa Award

The Hayakawa Award is an award chosen annually by its readers ("Hayakawa SF Magazine") for the best Japanese short story, illustrator, and foreign short story. The honor has been awarded since 1989. Most likely this is due to the decline of science-fiction known as the Wintery Age (冬の時代 "Fuyu no Jidai") that began in the late 80's.
