Trevor Dwyer-Lynch

Trevor Dwyer-Lynch is a talented actor, presenter and compère. Born and raised in Moss Side and Salford, trained in Drama and Performing Arts at City College Manchester in 1990, Dwyer-Lynch has appeared in numerous television and theatre productions, merging both serious roles—such as "Gloucester" in Shakespeare's King Lear—to his best known comedic nice guy role in Coronation Street as Patrick Tussell the taxi-driver working for Steve McDonald (2002-2005). A dog lover, his 17-stone, Old English Mastiff (largest breed of dog in the world) also appeared with him in an episode, his dog spoiling "Patrick's" attempt to win over love interest Janice Battersby.

Having fulfilled one of his ambitions of appearing in a Ken Loach film, he eagerly awaits the opportunity to work with the talented film directors Shane Meadows, The Scott Brothers, Guy Ritchie and actors Ray Winstone, Paddy Considine and of course Denzil Washington.

A keen sportsman, Dwyer-Lynch is also a professional qualified Uefa'B' license football coach, having worked on both Manchester United and City's Community Football and Centre of Excellence Schemes.When available, Dwyer-Lynch plays for a celebrity football team, consisting of actors and ex-professional footballers, raising money for various charities. Some of the great grounds he has played at are Wembley stadium and Old Trafford, humbled that he has graced the same turf as his heroes, Andy Cole, Joe Jordan, Paul McGrath, Eric Cantona, Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane and the late Laurie Cunningham. He had the privilege of meeting one of his heroes, "Pele" and joked that although the greatest footballer in the world, Dwyer-Lynch had beaten him by playing at Wembley 3 times Pele never played there in his career. The true Mancunian, Dwyer-Lynch established, alongside his big mate Key 103 DJ Justin Moorhouse("Kenny Junior" from Phoenix Nights and Key 103 D.J.) the first and only Smoke Free Comedy Zone in Manchester at The Circle Club some 18 months before the official smoke-free ban came into force and where many top stand up comedians appeared.
